AK-47 Spray Pattern and Recoil Control
The AK-47 is the primary Terrorist rifle. It deals 31 damage per body shot, one-shotting heads if unarmored. The spray pattern is characteristic: upward then left. Pull your mouse DOWN then LEFT to control recoil and keep bullets grouped. The spray becomes less predictable after 10+ shots, so burst fire (2-4 shots) is superior to spraying.
The first shot is most accurate and can one-tap heads at any range. Learning to one-tap is crucial for AK plays. Follow-up shots should be 2-bullet bursts, resetting aim slightly between bursts for maximum accuracy. Spraying entire magazines is inefficient except at very close range where precision matters less.
On T-side, AK economy is more important than CT-side due to lower T-side default buy. Winning a rifle round on T-side with AK buys enables full buy next round. Losing an AK round forces eco recovery, losing multiple rounds in sequence. Protecting your AK and winning eco/anti-eco rounds is key T-side strategy.
Spray pattern training: use aim trainers or offline practice with bots set to difficulty 0, focusing on spray control at various ranges. 30 minutes of daily AK spray practice translates to noticeably better recoil control. Professional players practice spray patterns constantly, accumulating tens of thousands of spray repetitions.
